Ozzfest, the festival Ozzy Osbourne co-founded with Sharon Osbourne in 1996, will return in 2027 with three dates. The U.S. edition takes place Saturday, September 11th, at Glen Helen Amphitheater in San Bernardino, California, one of the venues from the festival’s first run 30 years ago. It will be preceded by a July 10th date at the National Bowl in Milton Keynes, England, and followed on September 18th by Ozzfest’s first-ever Mexico edition, at Estadio GNP Seguros in Mexico City. No artists have been announced — Early Bat Tickets will be avaiable tomorrow 10am via Ticketmasster.
The return is framed as a tribute. Ozzy died in July 2025 at age 76, 17 days after ‘Back to the Beginning’, his farewell concert at Villa Park in Birmingham. “Ozzy was the first to launch his own travelling metal festival,” Sharon said. “Ozzfest will always remain an important part of Ozzy’s legacy.”
The U.K. edition was originally set for Villa Park, but ongoing construction at Aston Villa’s stadium forced a change. “Unfortunately, due to continuing construction, Villa Park won’t be ready for any live shows this summer, so we had to relocate to Milton Keynes,” Sharon explained. “The choice was to move Ozzfest or postpone it for another year.” “Early Bat” tickets for the U.K. date go on sale Friday, November 6th, at 10 a.m. U.K. time.
Producer Andy Copping said the team is excited about the lineup it is putting together and will share it with fans later.
Ozzfest launched in 1996 as a U.S. touring festival and became one of the most important showcases for metal in North America, later expanding to England and to Japan, in 2013 and 2015. Its last recorded edition took place December 31st, 2018, at The Forum in Inglewood, California.
