Rush are heading to Sphere. The Canadian band has announced ‘Elevate From the Norm’, a five-show residency at the Las Vegas venue on May 21st, 23rd, 26th, 28th and 30th, 2027, featuring the complete ‘2112’ suite and all of ‘Moving Pictures’, plus other songs from the catalog. Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson will be joined by drummer Anika Nilles and keyboardist Loren Gold, the same lineup as their current tour.
General on-sale begins Friday, November 13th, at 10 a.m. PT. An artist presale opens Wednesday, November 11th, with registration through Seated, and Rush Backstage and newsletter subscribers have early access to VIP and travel packages starting today, November 6th.
“When I first heard of Sphere, I thought to myself, ‘wow, what a shame that RUSH is no longer touring,'” Lee said. “But life is nothing if not surprising and now, here we are, living and touring in the present tense.” The bassist and singer said the venue seemed “tailor made for the kind of visual attitude with which we have always designed our shows,” adding that the band is “working hard to expand our touring concepts and concoct some new madness to suit this incredible venue.”
The residency follows ‘Fifty Something’, the tour that brought Rush back to the stage in 2026, their first since 2015’s ‘R40’ and since the death of drummer Neil Peart in January 2020. The run opened June 7th at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, California, where the band played all seven movements of ‘2112’ on the second night and ‘Moving Pictures’ in full two nights later. The North American leg wraps December 17th in Vancouver before the tour moves to South America in January and to Europe and the U.K. from February through April.
Sphere, which opened in 2023 with U2, has hosted residencies by The Eagles, Dead & Company and Kenny Chesney, and is currently home to Metallica‘s 24-show ‘Life Burns Faster’ run, which continues through March 13th, 2027.
